On this 30th Anniversary of Magnificat we echo Mary's great hymn of praise.
"My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my savior. The Mighty one has done great things for me, and holy is His Name"!
Today, October 7 we honor our Lady under the title, "Queen of the Holy Rosary" and with her give thanks to the Lord for His many blessings to us over these past 30 years. Truly the Holy Spirit has blown over Mary's garden of Magnificat - and spread its fruits abroad (Song of Songs 4:14) - across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean Islands, Europe, and Africa.
As we end the powerful 54 day Rosary Novena on October 7, the feast of our "Lady of the Holy Rosary" we are convinced it was no accident that this ministry began on this day. This feast was named by St. Pope Pius V in 1571 after a decisive victory over the forces who were trying to take over Christian Europe in the famous battle of Lepanto. Pius V called for all of Europe to pray the Rosary and against overwhelming odds, the small Catholic fleet won the battle preventing the Muslim invasion and conquer of Europe. Today we are in a greater, worldwide battle for the culture of life and our faith. The rosary is still our secret weapon.
May God continue to bless us all.
"The rosary is an echo of the prayer of Mary, her perennial Magnificat for the work of the redemptive incarnation, which began in her virginal womb." John Paul II
