Ladies, hear Sr. Mary Gianna and a testimony you won't forget. She never imagined God would call her to religious life. She was not raised Catholic -- or for that matter -- any religion. Growing up with little faith she struggled with questions of life, what life was about, who she was, and what she was living for. Her life changed forever when she was 16 years old and a sophomore at Columbine High School in 1999. She survived the tragedy where her schoolmates opened fire killing 12 students and one teacher and wounding 23 others. Survival led to belief that there is a God and He had a plan for her life. Hear her Columbine experience, and journey with her to find a loving God, her conversion to Catholicism, and what led her to her final vows in 2018 as a religious sister in the order of Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Before entering religious life, she spent nine months at the Emmanual School of Mission in Rome where she continued to go deeper in her faith and had opportunities for mission in Italy, Scotland, Ireland, and France. She currently serves at The Ark & the Dove Retreat House in Gibsonia where she leads retreats and teachings. She is privileged to minister at this home to Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the historic site of the "Duquesne Weekend" where nearly 50 years ago the Holy Spirit fell in power on a handful of Dusquesne University students. Many in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and others baptized in the Holy Spirit trace their beginnings back to its event.
